Digital Campaign Back to School Checklist

It’s back to school time and whether you still have nightmares about missing class or not, it’s a good time to evaluate your digital campaign. With the 2022 campaign season already in swing, you need to ensure all of the important but seldom seen parts of your email, website, and social media are accurate.

It’s back to school time and whether you still have nightmares about missing class or not, it’s a good time to evaluate your digital campaign. With the 2022 campaign season already in swing, you need to ensure all of the important but seldom seen parts of your email, website, and social media are accurate.

Here’s a quick back to school checklist for your digital campaign:

Review Social Media Bios

Are you social media bios up to date? Is it time to add a new profile and cover photo? With redistricting, you’ll likely have many more new constituents, so make sure your information on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and wherever else you maintain profiles is accurate.

Renew Domain Registration

Do you have access to the registrar for your campaign’s URL? If not, work on that and when you do, confirm that auto-renewal is set and the payment method is valid. Don’t let someone get your web address because of an administrative error.

Check Contact Form Submissions & Press Inboxes

As campaign season ramps up, you’ll have more questions, event invitations, and interview requests from individuals who might not know the best way to get in touch with you so they’ll try the website. Make sure someone on your team has the ability to check them and access them regularly.

Test Your Signup, Volunteer & Donation Forms

Don’t miss out on hard-earned conversions and important data. Test every form on your website to make sure it’s working properly, collecting all of the data, and you can access it. Update any disclaimer language that may be changed and increase your donation limits if appropriate.

Automation is an asset for your digital campaign, but don’t just set it and forget it. Follow this back to school checklist to get your campaign ready for the new year.
